New means something different. Before we can have a new, there must be an old
Christian home is supposed to be standards and light that shines to her environment. Your home must encourage others to get married Matt. 5:13-15
A Christian home is meant to be a salt to her generation
God is not bothered about the past background of your home. You have a choice to change your home. You don’t have an excuse; you can have a godly home
Characteristics Of The Old Life
1. Selfishness and Greed
2. Insensitivity to other things
3. Disrespect to other members of the family
4. Adoption of worldly ideologies John 17:13-17
THINGS WE NEED TO DO TO HAVE A GODLY HOME
1. Assess Ourselves
2. Submit to one another Eph 5:21
3. Husbands love your wives Eph 5:25
4. Wives must submit and honour their husbands Eph 5:25
5. Children obey your parent Eph 6:1
DUTIES OF PARENTS TO THEIR CHILDREN (Psalm 144:12)
1. Direct the part of our children
2. Grand parent should have positive impact.
3. Treat third party nicely (House helps, Security etc). Learn to treat people living with us wisely
4. We should become praying families
Conclusion
We need to hear and act. It is not enough to be good all this years and suddenly backslide> Follow these principles judiciously and don’t deviate at any time
